DJ GingerBear:
GingerBear started out as a classical multi-disciplinary musician then moved on to event promotion and design for several decades before his transition to becoming a DJ. The events he put on were fun, quirky, dirty and varied, much of which has formed his retrotech style of music today, a mixture of techno, tech, house, disco, progressive, electro and retro 70/80/90s.
Based in Vancouver BC, GingerBear has played a variety of venues and events in the local and international scenes, including Calgary, Edmonton, Seattle, San Diego, Hawaii and San Francisco for events such as RUFF, Bearacchus, Bear Night San Diego, Beef, Pre-Lubed Folsom, to name a few. This past year, his national and international bookings include Portland, Seattle Pride, Calgary (Bearacchus Weekend & Pride), San Francisco’s Folsom Weekend (three bookings), Vancouver Blue Ball and Ruff NYE.
